Denholm Industrial Services (DIS) provided traditional access scaffolding for energy-related works to over 150 occupied two storey properties in Dalkeith, Midlothian.
Although the build solution was normal in nature, the logistics of delivering to site some 650 tonnes of scaffold materials were significant.
Additionally public relations with the occupants of these 150 homes during the 36 week programme were also critical.
Denholm Industrial Services developed and implemented a transport plan for the site, which included 4 week look-aheads, out of hours working, utilisation of HGV and light vehicles. Liaison with the client and residents was almost hourly.
With a core team of 14 scaffolders, site foreman and scaffold project manager, this contract was successfully completed within the agreed client programme without incidents or accidents over the nine month project period.
