Background
The development of MUFC involved construction of two new cantilever roof structures above the new Quadrant seating.
The Challenge
Due to the roof’s design, access was needed below roof level to install the steel purlins and roofing sheets.
Scaffolding from lower level was not an option.
DIS Solution
Corner platform assembled and craned into place to allow ‘sump’ construction.
Sump platform followed by two larger main platforms craned into place.
Platforms removed by deconstructing while suspended.
